An exercise was undertaken to obtain TICA members view on specific issues. Some of the results include:

85% of members support patients questioning healthcare workers if they see a failure in infection control practices
95% of members stongly agree (52%) or agree (43%) that infection rates should be published on named hospital basis in Tasmania.
100% of members stongly agree or agree that HAIs have a major impact on the heatlh service in Tasmania
90% of members stongly support the development of national infection control guidline
52% of members want more professional development/education
